"I often return to that girl running along the beach. She knew how to laugh, and did so endlessly. Where is she now?"
The Road Not Taken is a personal exploration of memory and the past. It brings together photographs made at different stages of the author’s life — from early works created between 2008–2011 to images from recent years. The sequence isn’t chronological but arranged by feeling, creating a dialogue between past and present. Returning to her own archive, the author tries to see the past anew, to accept it, and to move forward. The title The Road Not Taken refers to a path that stayed in the imagination — an alternative direction and a choice that continues to exist within.
The book is filled with stillness and attention to simple details. Its pages hold space, pauses, and quiet moments. Landscapes, objects, and light all convey an inner state. Together, the images form a reflection on time, memory, and how perception shifts. As you move through the book, you gradually feel a slowing down - a chance to pause and sense the roads not taken.
